Q. What is MSPrebiotic®?

A. MSPrebiotic® is a second generation prebiotic produced from Solanum Tuberosum extract that is all-natural, vegan, gluten-free, caffeine-free, and contains no GMOs.

Q. What do I need to know before you start taking MSPrebiotic®?

A. Customers taking MSPrebiotic® for the first time should consider starting at the beginner dose, which is indicated by a small line on the scoop enclosed in the pouch. Some consumers have reported bloating and gas upon beginning MSPrebiotic® supplementation, which is a normal, temporary response from your microbiome, and starting with a smaller dose will reduce this risk. Q. What is Resistant Starch?

A. Most types of starch are digested and broken down by the body, providing a source of glucose. Resistant starch is different because it resists digestion in our stomach and small intestine, and becomes food for the healthy bacteria (probiotics) living in the colon. For these reasons, resistant starch is a prebiotic and confers numerous health benefits by supporting the growth of healthy bacteria.

Q. How do I add MSPrebiotic® to my diet?

A. MSPrebiotic® is insoluble in liquids, and must be stirred into beverages and then ingested immediately before the prebiotic settles to the bottom of the glass. For example, a single one Tbsp. scoop can be mixed into 4oz. of water. After consuming, we recommend that you drink an additional 2oz. (or more) of water for optimal results. MSPrebiotic® can also be added to smoothies, shakes, or yogurt – the choice is up to you! However, MSPrebiotic® loses effectiveness when heated over 140°F (60°C), so it is not suitable for cooking, baking, or consumption in hot beverages.

Q. Is MSPrebiotic® a prebiotic or fiber supplement?

A. MSPrebiotic® is both a prebiotic AND a fiber supplement. Each 10 gram Tbsp. dose contains 7 grams of dietary fiber – roughly equal to the amount of fiber that most people get from their diet on a daily basis. This fiber acts as a prebiotic because it resists digestion and feeds healthy bacteria in your colon, supporting your health in numerous ways.

Q. How does MSPrebiotic® supply me with energy?

A. MSPrebiotic® differs from most energy supplements because it is not converted to glucose after you consume it. Instead, MSPrebiotic® passes through your digestive tract to the colon, where healthy bacteria slowly ferment the supplement to generate short chain fatty acids (SCFAs). SCFAs are a natural energy source and are absorbed into your blood stream to supply energy to the rest of your body. Importantly, SCFAs are produced slowly, gradually entering the body to provide a constant supply of energy – all without impacting your blood sugar.
